De Volle Plank: Game edition
De Volle Plank (the full board) is a borrel as your dinner: one full board to share. This time it is all about game. The chef serves The Game Board, with smoked duck, venison ham, wild boar and roe deer sausage, pâté and something warm from the kitchen, with cheese, fig bread and all the trimmings. After the board comes dessert: Eton mess with stewed pear and Bastogne biscuits. Order a beer flight from the tap with it. From two people, at a time that suits you.

October is bock beer month, and game and bock are a classic pair. Order a beer flight or three tasters from the tap with your board, picked to go with the game. Tjaps is the home of VAT'33 brewery: our 23 taps pour our own beer next to rotating guest beers.

How do I book for De Volle Plank?
On this page: choose the number of people and your arrival time, and pay a 10% deposit. That deposit is your booking; the confirmation arrives in your inbox straight away. You pay the rest on the night.
Why a deposit?
So the chef knows exactly how much game to buy, and we can count on your visit and you on your spot. We simply deduct the 10% deposit from your bill on the night.
What time can I arrive?
From 17:00, at a time that suits you. You pick your arrival time when booking. That spreads the evening, so everyone gets their board on time.
How many people can I bring?
From two people; the board is for sharing. With more than eight people, send a group request and we will see what is possible.
I have an allergy or dietary need. Is that possible?
Add it to the notes of your booking and the chef will see what is possible. The board is all about game; if you do not eat meat, this is not your night.
What if I can no longer make it?
Cancel at least 72 hours before your arrival time, via info@tjapspub.nl or by phone, and you get your deposit back. Cancel later and the deposit is forfeited: by then the chef has bought the game for you.
