Privacy statement

Tjaps (Leeghwater 5, 3825 MR Amersfoort, Chamber of Commerce 60512377, VAT NL003819983B33) is the controller of the personal data processed through this website and at our venue.

Depending on what you do, we process:

• Bookings: name, email address, phone number, number of guests, date/time and any comments or dietary requirements.
• Catering quotes: name, company name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the chosen menu, number of guests and any dietary or allergy information you share.
• Contact form: name, email address and the content of your message.
• Job applications (vacancies): the information you give us in your application.
• Newsletter: your email address, the language of the site and the moment you signed up.
• Technical: limited log data (such as IP address and time) needed for the website to work and stay secure.

We deliberately do not process special categories of personal data. Please share no more dietary or health information than we need to serve you well; whatever you share is used only for your order.

• Carrying out your booking or catering order (performance of a contract).
• Replying to your contact message or job application (legitimate interest).
• Sending our newsletter, if you signed up for it (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every newsletter or by emailing us.
• Administration and invoicing (legal obligation).
• Security and the proper functioning of the website (legitimate interest).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal effects, and we never sell your data.

• Invoices and related quote/order data: 7 years (statutory tax retention).
• Booking data: until shortly after your visit, then deleted or anonymised.
• Contact messages: until your question has been dealt with and for as long as needed for any follow-up questions.
• Job applications: up to 4 weeks after the procedure ends, or up to 1 year with your consent.
• Newsletter: for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep only your address with the unsubscription, so we never email you again by mistake.

We only share data with service providers who help us deliver our service, and only as far as necessary:

• Our hosting/database provider (within the EU), for storing booking and quote data.
• Our email service, for sending quote, confirmation and contact emails.
• Our accounting and, when you pay at the venue, the card/payment provider.
• Klaviyo, for sending the newsletter. Klaviyo is a US company; the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Where required, we have data processing agreements with these parties. Beyond that, we only share data when the law requires us to.

We only use functional cookies that the site needs to work (such as your session). We do not place advertising cookies and do not track you across websites.

For visitor statistics we use Plausible Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, no tracking across websites. We see aggregated figures (pages visited, country, device type), not individual visitors. See our cookie policy for details.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections, access to data only for authorised staff and shielding of customer data at database level. We report a data breach that poses a risk as required by law.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and to data portability. Send your request to info@tjapspub.nl; we will respond within the statutory period.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

At the venue and at events we sometimes take atmosphere photos for our own channels (such as social media). Rather not be recognisable in a photo? Let us know on the spot or by email, and we will take that into account or remove the image.

We may update this privacy statement. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change. If the English and Dutch versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.
